About the speakers:
Paul is chief finance and sustainability officer at HEART Academies Trust, Bedford, where he leads on climate and sustainability action. In 2021, Paul became co-chair of the UK Schools Sustainability Network (UKSSN) 'Ops Group', a national network of schools and trusts working to navigate the education sector towards a more sustainable future. Paul represents the UKSSN on the DfE Sustainability User Group. He is also part of the steering group for Climate Adapted Pathways for Education (CAPE) Alliance and supports the Our Schools Our World project for Bedfordshire.
With a background in global business development and energy-focused research, Matthew takes a strategic approach to energy solutions. Previously a global business development manager and conference producer in the energy division at Reuters Events, Matthew brings deep industry insight and expertise in net zero, heat decarbonisation and ESOS compliance. Matthew partners with a diverse range of organisations – from the UK’s largest corporations to independent schools and multi-academy trusts. He is focused on driving real climate impact, ensuring regulatory compliance while reducing energy costs and carbon footprints.
Harry has been an energy consultant for seven years, having studied renewable energy engineering at university. He is currently completing an executive MBA at the University of Birmingham. Harry cares deeply about energy efficiency and low carbon solutions from a cost reduction perspective, as well as from a standpoint of improving sustainability and mitigating the effects of climate change.
