Making every drop count
Unlocking funded support to reduce costs, improve efficiency and support your sustainability plans
Sitting behind your relationship with your water supplier is the regional wholesaler responsible for the network itself, and with it comes access to support that many schools and trusts may not realise is available. From funded water-efficiency measures to practical help reducing waste and cost, there may be more support available than you think.
With budgets under pressure, ageing estates and growing sustainability expectations, water deserves a place on the school business agenda. Used more strategically, it can unlock savings, improve estate efficiency and contribute to wider sustainability plans.
Affinity Water works with schools across the region to identify water waste, address minor leaks, install efficiency measures and provide practical support at no cost to the school. As the regional wholesaler, they work alongside the retailer schools may be more familiar with and manage that relationship as part of the process.
Using real school examples, this session will explore where hidden water costs can occur, how data and monitoring can identify opportunities for improvement, and how leaders can assess potential savings, investment and payback. We will also look at how behaviour change, staff and pupil engagement and WaterSmart resources can help sustain improvements over time.
